What is perspective drawing in art?
Perspective drawing gives object on a 2D surface a sense of three-dimensionality. There are different type of perspective.
Liners or point-projection perspective the other is Parallel projection. Linear perspective is an approximate representation , generally on a flat surface, of an image as it is seen by the eye.
The figures is a simple idea of one point perspective. It's a method of representing space of an object diminishes as the distance from the viewer increases. That means ground meets the sky (called vanishing point). Italian architect Filippo Brunelleschi developed linear perspective(in 1413) and the method that many artist use today.
Perspective can be one point,two point, 3 point etc ..
One point Perspective
A drawing has one-point perspective when it contains only one vanishing point on the horizon line .
Two point Perspective
A drawing has two- point perspective when it contains two vanishing point on the horizon line. In an illustration, these vanishing points can be placed arbitrarily along the horizon.
The famous painting Paris street used 2 point perspective.
Three point perspective
Three- point perspective, also called multi point,is a type of perspective that has more than two vanishing points.
