How to take your drawing to another level ? How you, as an artist can practice in order to make your work better?




Practising is a something everyone knows about often and it's something we all know know we should do. Learning how to draw is an on going journey. 
        
One of the struggle we always feel at the beginning, what to draw ? How to improve our art work ? How to take our art to another level ? 

            Many budding artist struggle because they set unrealistic standards for themselves, leading to Creative blocks and low motivation. 
Many emerging artists are struggle with practicing. When you start the journey, be sure to dedicate good quality time to it. Everyone's situation will be different. Some people will be luck enough to have a very supportive family, others will be stuck in a daily grind at a day job. Some have young kids to attend to. We all have different strength and weaknesses. 

    Let me tell you 5 tips some to improve your art to another level.


1. Practice and Repetition

Repetition is something that we do over and over again. Improve your art skill need repeated practice every day. Don't forget to make some Some to learn the foundation also. 

2. Reffernce
 Many artist struggle to find reffernce at the early stage. So either they try to draw from imagination or try to copy other. 
Although it's good to draw from imagination. But at the early stage we can't draw better from imagination. Copying others will get you in trouble some of them don't like copying their work. Don't forget when you when you are trying to copy someone you are also coping theire mistakes.

         Pinterest is a good app where you can find dozens of reffernces. 

3. Practice with Reference
      Practice with Reference is also an important part . If don't find a good references Don't worry take a mirror ....! Yes self portrait be your own subject. Study the different expression, structure, proportion, colour,hair etc..

4. Compare your art
Comparing your art with other is bad, but compare your self you can see improvements. It helps to grow more. 

5. Study one skill at a time 
Study one skill at a time and don't forget to practice. You don't need to become the best in the world at one thing to advance your career.
